I moved to Canvey in March 2002 and registered as a childminder in April 2003. A list of my qualifications and certificates can be found on this website, and copies are available upon request. I run my business from an annex which is attached to my house. The annex is fully self contained and provides a play room for the children and also their own bathroom facilities. I have a large range of age and stage appropriate resources which are accessible to the children at all times. Messy play is carried out regularly. There is access to my large garden from the annex and the garden is fully enclosed. I have lots of play equipment in the garden and the children are encouraged to play outdoors on a regular basis.
I trained and qualified as a chef when I left school and worked in different catering establishments for 10 years which enables me to provide nutritious and healthy food for the children. A copy of my menu is available upon request.
I personally enjoy swimming, cooking and power walking. I enjoy spending time with my family.
